Slow Cinema

Slow cinema is an art movie genre. Long scenes shot with a minimalist approach and very little dialogue can be counted among the distinctive features of the genre. In such movies, as in action movies, rapid camera movements are not made, slow camera movements and transitions are preferred. Directors such as Andrey Tarkovski, Béla Tarr, Michelangelo Antonioni are considered pioneers of this genre.
