InSight is a spacecraft designed to study the depths of Mars.  It is manufactured by Lockheed Martin and operated by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA. The mission was launched on May 5, 2018 at 11.05 am (UTC). Launched by the Atlas V-401 rocket, InSight successfully landed on Mars' Elysium Planitia at 19:52:59 (UTC) on November 26, 2018. The journey took 483 million kilometers. It is planned to place a seismograph and a heat probe in the landing area. It will also conduct a series of radio science experiments to complete studies on Mars' internal structure and rotation.
