Holy Friday is the religious day that Christians around the world commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Golgotha. Holy Friday, the Friday before Easter Sunday on Holy Week, which is part of the Triduum, may coincide with the Jewish Passover. Also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, or Easter Friday; however, Easter Friday is actually the Friday of Easter Week; Holy Friday is the Friday of the week before Easter Week (Holy Week).
