I had read that the first James Bond on the big screen, the most famous Scotsman Sean Connery, who introduced us to Agent 007, was getting progressively worse. There was a rumor that Connery was walking down the street with a piece of paper with his wife's phone number on it. I just read a news report that this is denied. I don't know which one is correct.

The allegations that Sean Connery, the first actor to bring James Bond to life on the big screen, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's was denied by the actor's close friend, Sir Michael Cane. The German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, in its article titled "Connery forgot his life", wrote that 83-year-old Connery often did not remember where he was, and those around him tried to help the famous actor return home by informing his wife, Micheline Roquebrune.
