Hans Baluschek (9 May 1870 - 28 September 1935), German painter, graphic artist and writer. Baluschek was one of the leading representatives of German Critical Realism and tried to show the life of ordinary people. The pictures were depicting the working class in Berlin. The artist group interested in modern developments was a member of the movement called "Berlin Partition". Hans Baluschek had a Marxist view of history, he was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany from 1920 until his death.
