Felix and Regula are two of the 3 patron saints of the city of Zurich. They were saints by the Catholic Church. According to an early medieval legend, they were killed and martyred by the Roman emperor Diocletian, who persecuted Christians. Until the era of reform, Felix and his sister Regula were worshiped, and Grossmünster, Wasserkirche, and Fraumünster were dedicated to them. Their memorial day is September 11th.
