Daeunungsa, sometimes called Daedunsa, is the main temple of the Jogye Sect of Korean Buddhism. Daeheungsa is located at the foothills of Duryunsan (Mount Duryun) in Samsan County, in Haenam District, in South Jeolla province near the southern border of South Korea. In 2018, Sansa, along with six other temples in the area, was declared a World Heritage Site under the name of Buddhist Mountain Monasteries in Korea by UNESCO.
