Comedy of Mistakes is a comedy play written by the famous British author William Shakespeare. This play is one of the plays that Shakespeare prepared at the beginning of his playwriting career and is thought to have been written between 1589 and 1594. This is the shortest running of Shakespeare's plays. This play is the most one of Shakespeare's comedies with a Persian character, and there are a lot of buffoonery and identity confusion, puns, and wordplay. In The Comedy of Inaccuracies, Shakespeare is one of the two rare plays in which he adheres to the three principles of classical theater (unions of time, space and action) (The other play that fits these principles is The Storm.)
